About us

The people who already know the way

CareJourney came into being in Bern and Belp because a role is missing between hospital, Spitex, health insurer and municipality: someone who keeps the overview and is there for the family rather than for a form.

We do not provide treatment. We do not take on tasks reserved for doctors or qualified nursing professionals. What we do is the work in between — and that is the work that exhausts families: understanding, sorting, phoning, following up, staying with it.

That this boundary holds is not a matter of good will. It is anchored technically in our platform: sensitive data is classified, access is tied to an explicit purpose, and features that could touch this boundary are switched off by default.

Family carers

This position is filled — by you. Family carers carry the everyday load: with no employment contract, no job description, no handover in the evening. We list the role here because what nobody names cannot be organised.

It is not ours to give away. But it is paid — at CHF 39.— per hour. Caring for a relative is work, and work is remunerated; that so few people know this is the reason it is stated here and not in the small print.

How many hours are recognised, and how the employment works, is something we clarify in the first conversation — it depends on the care situation and cannot be answered in general terms. Do ask about it, even if you are first calling about something else entirely.

The twelve core functions above exist so that this one becomes lighter.
