What has been tested — and what has not
This website is for people who are often tired, worried or in a hurry. It should be usable with assistive technology, on an old device, and in poor light. We measure this — and we also record here what we have not yet tested.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, level AA. The points under ‘Tested’ are recalculated automatically on every test run: if someone changes a colour, a template or an image, the test fails before the change goes live. The points under ‘Still open’ have not been tested — we claim nothing there.

Six points we have measured
Each of these points is backed by an automated test that runs again on every change.

Colour contrast
All text colours reach at least 5.0:1 against their background. Required is 4.5:1. The values are calculated from the stylesheet on every test run, not asserted — if anyone changes a colour value, the test recalculates.

Use without a mouse
The whole website can be operated with the keyboard. The active element always has a visible outline. A skip link at the top of the page leads straight to the content, without having to pass through the navigation.

Structure and readability aloud
Every page has exactly one main heading and a consistent heading hierarchy. Every image has alternative text. Every page carries its own language markup — Swiss Standard German at the root, the respective language in the translated editions — so screen readers pronounce it correctly.

Motion and calm
If your device is set to "reduce motion", the website stops animations automatically. In addition there is a calm mode in the toolbar at the top that you can switch on yourself at any time.

Readable without JavaScript
The page is fully readable even when JavaScript is blocked or does not load. JavaScript only adds animations and an early form check.

No tracking, low data volume
No trackers, no cookie banners, no external fonts. The home page weighs around 2.7 MB all told — that counts when the connection is slow or the data allowance is tight. Every image exists twice: modern and small for new browsers, and as a JPEG for older devices, so that no empty box appears there.

We have not yet systematically tested the website with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver. Automated checks find much, but not everything.

Whether all buttons and links reach the recommended minimum size for touch is something we have not yet measured systematically.

Translations under review, no Easy Read edition
This website is available in full in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish. The translated editions are machine-generated first drafts and are currently being reviewed by native speakers. Six further languages carry a core page with the essentials. An Easy Read (Leichte Sprache) edition is missing — for this subject in particular, it would matter.
