For family carers · Bern–Belp region
CareJourney supports families when caring for a relative becomes part of everyday life. We help you make sense of the situation, coordinate everyone involved and take the paperwork off your hands.
We are not a medical service. Treatment is given by doctors and by Spitex (the Swiss home-care service) — we coordinate, explain and ease the load.
How it begins
A diagnosis, a fall, a hospital discharge — and suddenly you are responsible for forms, deadlines and responsibilities that nobody has explained to you. We already know the way.
In many systems, family carers are left at the margins: they do most of the work and are asked the least. With us, you are part of the conversation from the very beginning — with your own questions, your own exhaustion and your own life.
What you learn along this path stays with you — for everything that comes after.
Services
Every service states openly how far along it is today. Whatever is running in the pilot, you can use now; whatever is still being planned, we tell you so.

In pilot operation
A shared place for family, neighbours and professionals. Tasks, appointments and agreements — visible to everyone taking part.

Supplementary benefits (Ergänzungsleistungen), the helplessness allowance (Hilflosenentschädigung), health insurers. We prepare applications and accompany you to appointments.
In planning
Hospital discharge, short stays, moving into a care home. The moments where most goes wrong — we plan them through beforehand.
In planning
Family carers are the first to burn out. We organise respite services, short-stay beds and time for yourself.
In planning
Adaptations at home, meals, transport services, pets. So that home can stay home.
The journey
No marathon of forms. An honest conversation — and after that, you decide at the end of each stage whether to carry on.
By telephone or at your home. You talk, we listen. With no sales pitch at the end.
We clarify needs, entitlements and urgencies — in writing, so that everyone involved has the same picture.
Who does what, by when, with what budget. You decide, we recommend. The plan travels with you, even if you no longer need us.
One person who knows your story and does not start from scratch with every call. We stay with it, even when the situation changes.
Our approach
We meet every life with dignity, warmth and attention.
We connect people, knowledge and support at the right time.
We create space for people, animals and relationships to flourish.
Together we build paths that hold — step by step.
We protect dignity, boundaries, trust and what matters to you.
We learn with one another and let good care grow to last.
Boundaries
We are not a medical service. Treatment is given by doctors and by Spitex (the Swiss home-care service) — we coordinate, explain and ease the load.
Please do not send us any medical details. We do not make diagnoses and we do not change treatment.
